This tutorial assumes a basic working knowledge of PSP and AS.

Scrap kit is by Chili Designz called Deep Blue Sea and is available at Tiny Turtle Designs store HERE
The animation is by SophisticatSimone and is available at CDO HERE
The mermaid is copyright to Renee Biertempfel and is also available at CDO HERE
The mask is FTU from Rocked by Rachel and you can get it HERE It's mask 3 in set 61
You'll need the plugin Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow and you can get that HERE


Install your plugin before beginning
Put the mask in your masks folder
Open a new transparent image, 600 x 600 and flood fill with white
We can resize later if you wish to do so
Open paper 5, resize to 600 x 600, copy, close and paste as new layer
Load your mask with source luminance, fit to canvas and hide all mask checked
Merge group
I pulled the mask out to the edges to enlarge it
Open frame 4, copy, close and paste as new layer
Open your Renee Biertempfel tube, copy and close
Paste as new layer and postion her so the left side of the tube overlaps the left side of the frame
Duplicate this layer and move the duplicate below the frame layer
Go back to the top mermaid layer and remove any parts of her outside the frame
You can do this with your selection tool or eraser tool, whichever you prefer
Go to the bottom mermaid layer and remove any parts outside the frame
Click your group layer to activate it
Open the water drops, resize to 600 width, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move to the top
Open the plant, resize to 400 width, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move to the top right
Open fish 6, resize quite small, copy, close and place it on the right side, partially behind the frame
Click your top layer to activate it
Open stone 5, resize to 180 width, and put at the bottom of the frame just right of center
Open shell 4, resize to 220 width, and put at the bottom of the frame to the left of the stone
Rotate it right a bit
Open seaflower 2, resize to 260 width and put on the right side of the frame about half way up
Add one of the little fish, resized quite small over the seaflower
Open seaplant2, resize to 280 width, and move to the right side, overlapping the fish
Open sea shell 5, resize to 150 width, and move down and to the right side
Open stone 3, resize to 200 width, and move down and to the left of the shell
Open seaflower, resize quite small and place on the stone
Open seaplant, resize to 200 width, and place at the left side of the frame
Add another fish, resized quite small in front of the plant
Open deco 2, resize to 290 width and put on the left side overlapping the fish a bit
Open the turtle, resize to 160 width, and place at the bottom left
Go through your layers and add drop shadows to your elements
I used 0, 3, 30, 5, black - and not on the water drops or the lower mermaid layer
Add the copyright info and license number for the Renee Biertempfel tube
Convert to raster
Effects, plugins, Eye Candy 4000, Gradient Glow
On the color tab, choose white
On the basic tab, 7, 25, 100, draw box checked
Reduce the opacity of this layer to 60%
For my text I used Tia Maria Script, #22303e
I gave it the same gradient glow except changed overall opacity to 75
Starting with your top mermaid layer, merge down to and including the white background layer
Copy this merged layer and go to AS
Right click to paste as new animation
Duplicate until you have 16 frames and then minimize for now
Open the bubbles animation from SophisticatSimone
Edit, select all
Edit, copy and then minimize for now
Maximize your background frames
Edit, select all
Edit, paste into selected frame - Frame 1
Postion over the right side of the frame and click once to set in place
Minimize again
Maximize the bubbles animation
Animation, resize animation and choose 65%
Edit, copy and then close
Maximize your tag frames again
Edit, paste into selected frame - Frame 1
Position on the left side about where your fish will be and click once to set in place
Minimize for now
Back to PSP and close the eye on the merged background layer
Click any other layer to activate it
Edit, copy special, copy merged
Go to AS and right click to paste as new animation
Duplicate until you have 16 frames
Edit, select all
Edit, copy and then close
Maximize your tag frames again
Edit, paste into selected frame - Frame 1
Position and click once to set in place
If you wish to resize, click animation, resize animation and choose the size you want
Save as a gif file
