This tutorial assumes a basic working knowledge of PSP and AS.

Scrap kit is by Lady Hawwk called My Pirate's Treasure and is available at CDO HERE.
The tube is PTU by Michael Landefeld and is also available at CDO, HERE.
The animation is PTU from SophisticatSimone and is available from CDO HERE It's in package 81.
Mask and font of choice


Open a new transparent image 600 x 600
Flood fill with white
Open paper 7, resize to 600 x 600, copy, close, and paste as new layer
Load your mask of choice and then merge group
Open element 39, resize to about 500 height, copy, close and paste as new layer
Give this a drop shadow - I used 0, 3, 30, 5, black on all of the elements
Open element 7, resize to about 250 width, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move up a bit
Open element 5, resize to about 250 width, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move to the right side of the map
Open element 55, resize to about 325 width, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move to the left side
Open element 26, resize to about 60 width, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move down and to the left in front of the chair
Open element 34, resize to about 150 width, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move down and to the left in front of the bottle
Open your Michael Landefeld tube, copy the full size lady, close and paste as new layer
Open element 18, flip horizontal and resize quite small, copy, close and paste as new layer
Sit the parrot on the sword blade
Go to AS and open the treasure from package 81
Edit, select all
Animation, resize animation to 50%
Click the first frame, then copy it
Go to AS and paste as new layer
Postion it in front of the treasure chest on the Landefeld tube
(We'll delete this in a bit - this is just for placement of other elements)
Open element 2, resize to suit, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move down in front of the treasure chest
Open element 13, resize to suit, copy, close and paste as new layer
Move down and to the left a bit so it overlaps the treasure chest
You can delete the layer with the treasure chest now
Add your copyright info and license number for the Michael Landefeld tube
For my text I used Moon Dance 1, #940a15
Give your text a small drop shadow - I used 0, 2, 20, 2, black
Starting with the layer that has the parrot on it, merge down each layer including the background layer
Copy this merged layer and go to AS
Minimize the treasure chest animation for now
Right click to paste as new animation
Duplicate until you have 14 frames
Minimize for now
Maximize the treasure chest animation frames
Edit, select all
Edit, copy and then close
Maximize your background frames
Edit, select all
Edit, paste into selected frame (Frame 1)
Position the treasure chest in front of the one on the background frames and then click once to set it in place
Minimize for now
Back to PSP
Close the eye on the merged background layer
Click any other layer to activate it
Edit, copy special, copy merged
Go to AS and right click to paste as new animation
Duplicate until you have 14 frames
Edit, select all
Edit, copy and then close
Maximize your background animation frames
Edit, paste into selected frame (Frame 1)
Position and then click once to set it in place
Save as a gif file
